Queer Eye

Queer eye is a tv show that I love since it was Queer Eye for the Straigh Guy back in early 2000's.
This new version that Netflix started with a new crew is even more amazing. I cry in every single episode.
Yesterday Richie asked me: do you think straight men should whatch this?
I answered with a strong YES. I know the tv series can be unconfortable for men to watch, is quite over for men who are not used to seing men confortable in being whoever they want to be, but it's so nice.
But let's talk what I learned as a straight woman.
I learned the importance of not letting go of yourself, the need to practice self love and accept who I am and my body. Is a journey, I'm not there yet, not even sure if I'll ever be, but I'm working towards it.
I love seeing Jonathan using a cropped top with a normal belly, nails painted and a long skirt. This speaks to me so loudly. I'm so self concious of my body. I struggle to accept myself. I don't see in the mirror the amazing things Richard tells me he sees. Watching him being so carefree and happy in his own skin incentivates me to try and do the same myself.

Anyways, not much to say today. Just wanted to open up about body image and this amazing TV show I love. Watch Queer Eye on Netflix.
